Accessibility is a commitment we own, not an enhancement we defer.
Lingu’s websites and applications must at all times satisfy at least Level AA of the accessibility standard WCAG 2.2.
One of our organisation’s values is “be inclusive”. This means we at Lingu particularly care that all people have equal access and equal opportunities.
Statistics show that one in five adults has a permanent need for assistance in one form or another. In addition, everyone can have temporary or situational accessibility needs — for example carrying something in one hand and having only the other free to perform a task. Universal design is therefore great design — for everyone.
Diversity is essential for creative thinking and building great products and services. Embracing our differences is core to building a vibrant culture and catalysing innovation. Recognising, praising, and enhancing each other’s unique abilities, and treating each other with respect and trust, is one of the keys to our success.
Lingu’s goal is that our web solutions always satisfy at least Level AA of WCAG 2.2. We will:
We recognise we still have a way to go to realise this vision. Please help us get better at universal design. If something on our site does not work, the language is heavy or difficult, or a function is missing or broken, we would appreciate hearing about it so we can improve.
If you have feedback about accessibility, please contact us by e-mail: [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five working days and to provide any affected information or function in an accessible format on request.
