Lingu English — formerly Perfectly Spoken — runs a complete A2 Pre-Intermediate course for adults who want to get past survival English: shopping, work basics, directions, simple plans and short conversations. Sixty structured lessons, qualified teachers, weekly live practice and AI feedback between sessions.
Communicate in simple, routine tasks on familiar topics, and describe in simple terms your background, your day and your immediate needs.
Every card answers one question: what will you actually be able to do in English at A2?
Order food, shop, ask for directions and swap basic information in short, direct conversations.
Your family, your job, your daily routine and what you like — in simple terms.
A message, a short personal email or a simple form, using basic linked sentences.
Understand short, clear messages, common signs and simple instructions on familiar topics.
Present and past simple, "going to" for plans, common questions and basic connectors.
Shopping, travel, work basics, home and free time — the words daily life actually needs.
A2 shows up in real situations — buying things and checking prices, asking the way, a short phone call, introducing yourself at work. The course rehearses exactly these.
Situations the course rehearses
You recognise common words but freeze when you have to put them together out loud.
Lessons drill the set phrases and simple grammar that everyday situations repeat again and again.
Weekly live practice gives feedback on how you sound, not only whether the answer is correct.
You shop, ask, book and explain in simple English without rehearsing every sentence first.
Every Lingu English teacher is CELTA- or DELTA-qualified, holds at least one university degree, and has a minimum of ten years’ practical classroom and online experience. Your teachers run the weekly live practice and give feedback as you build everyday confidence.
Each curriculum area maps to an ability you will use — not a syllabus dump. Sixty lessons, ~35 minutes each, with a review every fifth slot.
The placement test tells you whether A2 is the right start, whether to begin with A1 first, or whether you are ready for B1.
